The Federal Government on Monday approved the deployment of Pakistan Army and Rangers personnel for the security of Mega event PSL season 8.
Earlier The Pakistan Cricket Board also wrote a letter to the interior ministry and request the deployment of Army and Rangers personnel for PSL Security.

The Federal government signed and approves the summary of the Interior Ministry. The decision has been taken after the Punjab and Sindh governments and Islamabad administrations sought the deployment of Army and Rangers personnel for security during PSL-8 matches.
The most Awaited Mega Event of Pakistan Super League Season 8 (PSL) is all set to start today. The Mega event Grand Opening ceremony is scheduled to held at the Multan cricket stadium.
The first match will be scheduled to play between Multan Sultans and defending champions Lahore Qalanders at Multan Cricket Stadium.
PSL Schedule
PSL8 is to be played from February 13th till March 19th between Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United, and Quetta Gladiators. The knockout phase will kick off on March 15.
The tournament will be played in Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi respectively. Fans can book their tickets by visiting the PCB office or via the online Bookme app.
