Election Commission of Pakistan today De-notified 43 more MNAs of PTI

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday De-notified 43 more Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members of the National Assembly (MNAs) after the acceptance of their resignations by NA Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf.

After the announcement of PTI MNAs’ return to the National Assembly, the federal government in a surprise move start accepting their resignations in order to reduce the number of opposition lawmakers.

By today The de-notified PTI MNAs include Riaz Fatyana, Sardar Tariq Hussain, Mohammad Yaqub Sheikh, Murtaza Iqbal, Sardar Mohammad Khan Leghari, Zile Humma, Rukhsana Naveed, Ghazala Saifi, Nousheen Hamid, Sobia Kamal Khan, and others.

Earlier, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) received the resignations of 43 more MNAs of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from the National Assembly Speaker.

Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf 43 more resignations of the PTI MNAs by bringing the number of resignations to 80, and forward the resignations to ECP.

Remember here one thing PTI decided and ordered the remaining 44 MNAs to withdraw their resignations. PTI Secretary General Asad Umar on Monday announced that 44 Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) MNAs have decided to withdraw their resignations.

Asad Umar in his tweet said the PTI has been demanding the NA speaker to accept all the resignations in one go but Mr. Ashraf remained reluctant to do the same as he announced to approve the resignations one by one after meeting with the lawmakers.

PTI senior leader Asad Umar said an email has been sent regarding resignations to the NA speaker and the next step would be to replace dissident Raja Riaz as leader of the opposition.

ECP Denotified PTI MNAs

Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) last week on Friday de-notified 35 more Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members of the National Assembly (MNAs) as the Speaker of the National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf accepted 35 more resignations in today’s surprise move.

Remember here one thing last week, the National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf accepted the resignations of 35 more Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNAs bringing the number whose resignations have been accepted to 80.

According to ECP notification, 31 general and four reserved seats of the National Assembly were now deemed vacant.

The move comes after National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf on Friday accepted the resignations of 35 more PTI MNAs.

It is to be pertinent that after Imran Khan announces his party returned to the National Assembly in order to bring a no-confidence vote against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, In a Surprise move Speaker National Assembly start accepting resignations in order to restrict PTI from bringing a no-confidence motion in Assembly against PM Shehbaz Sharif.
