Opposition leader Hamza Shehbaz sent the names of Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi and Ahad Raza Cheema to the Punjab governor for appointment as the caretaker chief minister of Punjab.

The PTI-PMLQ has finalized three names for the caretaker Punjab CM. The names included Cabinet Secretary Ahmad Nawaz Sukhera, former health minister Naseer Khan and former chief secretary Nasir Saeed Khosa.

Talking to the media here, Punjab CM Elahi said that PTI and PML-Q will not accept the ECP-nominated caretaker CM. He said that they [PTI, PML-Q] will approach Supreme Court (SC) if CEC nominated a caretaker Punjab chief minister.

“We have sent our final nominees to the Punjab governor for caretaker CM,” said Pervaiz Elahi, adding that there would be no changes in the nominees.

Earlier day Governor Punjab Green Signals  Pervaiz Elahi for Appointment of Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab as PTI dissolved the Provincial Assembly. While taking to Twitter Governor Punjab wrote.

The Chief Minister of Punjab and the leader of the Opposition could not agree on the name for the appointment of the caretaker Chief Minister of the Province. A letter has been issued by the Governor to the speaker asking him to proceed with the constitutional process of article 224A(2) for appointing the caretaker chief minister under the constitution.

Remember that CM Pervaiz Elahi dissolved the Punjab Assembly after which he sends the summary to Governor Punjab for Approval that was rejected by Governor Punjab.

According to Article if Governor Reject the summary then after 48 hours Assembly will be dissolved automatically. After the Assemblies dissolution, three names were proposed by PTI for the appointment of Caretaker CM and were sent to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for Approval but no decision on the appointment was made yet.

So keeping this in view Governor Punjab advises Pervaiz Elahi to the appointment the Caretaker Chief Minister of his own choice according to constitution article number 224A(2).

Now latest reports are that PMLN is willing to appoint their Chief Minister and for this purpose, Hamza Shahbaz son of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif sends three names to ECP for appointment of caretaker CM for Punjab.
