Chief Election Commissioner Sikander Sultan Raja today scheduled a commission session in order to deliberate on the proposed names of Punjab’s caretaker chief minister to fill the slot of the province CM reported credible sources in the ECP.
While charing the ECP session Chief Election Commissioner Sultan Raja approved the appointment of Mohsin Raza Naqvi as Caretaker CM of Punjab.

The development comes after the six-member parliamentary committee, formed by the Speaker Punjab Assembly Sibtain Khan failed to reach a consensus over the names of the caretaker CM.
It is to be mentioned that The matter for the caretaker CM’s appointment faced an unusual delay after the dissolution of the Punjab Assembly last week, due to disagreement between the provincial government and the opposition on the nominees.

According to the details, the names of four nominees two from the government and one from the opposition have been received by the ECP.
The names of the four nominees are Mohsin Raza Naqvi, Ahad Raza Cheema, Ahmad Nawaz Sukhera, and Naveed Akram Cheema.

Now latest reports are that the Election Commission of Pakistan suggests the name of Mohsin Raza Naqvi as Caretaker Chief Minister. Remember that the final appointment of the Chief Minister will be made after Governor Punjab signed the summary and takes the oath of the newly appointed caretaker CM.
Who is Mohsin Raza Naqvi ?
Mohsin Raza Naqvib was born and is a journalist by profession. He got his higher education in the USA and was associated with the American TV channel CNN during his stay in Miami. After returning to Pakistan, he served as the regional head of CNN.
According to a report, Benazir Bhutto, who Mohsin had interviewed, was the last person she contacted before her assassination.
Mohsin Raza Naqvi founded the local media City News Network in 2009 at the age of 30 and now owns six news channels and a newspaper. He is also widely known in political circles and has strong relations with leading political figures.
