President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s visit to Pakistan has been cancelled due to bad weather conditions.
According to Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb, the UAE president was scheduled to reach Islamabad on a day-long visit but due to bad weather conditions in Islamabad last night his flight was delayed, and later the visit was cancelled.

The Information Minister said that the foreign dignitary was waiting for take-off from 7.30 in the morning but the security officials did not allow his plane to take off for Islamabad.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb further said that the new dates for the UAE president’s visit to Pakistan will be announced later.
The UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan contacted PM Shehbaz Sharif and expressed sorrow over the cancellation of the visit.
“Your security and well-being are more important to you,” Shehbaz Sharif was quoted as saying to UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The UAE dignitary assured Premier Sharif that he will soon come to Islamabad on a two-day visit.
Remember here one thing arrangements to welcome Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan were finalized in Islamabad. He was to be escorted by JF-17 aircraft to the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Nur Khan Air Base.
Earlier this week Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday warm-welcomed and received the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan upon his arrival in Rahim Yar Khan.
The Prime Minister, during his day-long visit to Rahim Yar Khan, met with the UAE president at the Chandana Airport. Upon his arrival at the airport, the president was received by PM Shehbaz Sharif and a number of Ministers and Senior officials.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed ways and means to further strengthen bilateral relations in various fields.
During the meeting, the two sides discuss the historical UAE-Pakistan ties and opportunities for enhancing joint cooperation in a way that serves the mutual benefit of the two countries and their peoples across various domains, which falls within the framework of the two countries’ strategic partnership, state-run WAM reported.
The prime minister welcomed the visit of Sheikh Mohamed to Pakistan, stressing that it represented a strong drive towards developing the relations between the two friendly countries. The Premier also invited UAE President for a long visit to Islamamabd in order to discuss various cooperation paths, especially in the fields of economy, trade, and development, which are in line with the two countries’ sustainability objectives.
Now latest reports are that due to bad weather, the official visit of the UAE President has been delayed till further orders.
