Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir on Tuesday called on the United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The meeting was held at Qasr Al Shati Palace, in which Sheikh Mohamed congratulated General Asim Munir on his appointment as Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and wished him luck in his new duties to serve his country and people.

COAS Asim Munir expressed his thanks and appreciation to the President.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed cooperation relations and joint work between the UAE and Pakistan in defence and Military affairs, as well as ways to strengthen them to serve the common interests of the two friendly countries.
Earlier Army Chief General Asim Munir held a meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman in Riyadh on Monday.
According to details During the meeting, the Saudi crown prince congratulated General Asim Munir for taking charge of his office (COAS). The meeting discussed bilateral ties, defence cooperation, and other matters between the two Islamic States.
It is to be intimated that COAS General Asim Munir is on an official visit to Saudi Arabia and UAE from 4th January to 10th January, said Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement.
Earlier Army Chief General Asim Munir offered Umrah in Makkah. Army Chief Offered Nawafal and also offered special prayers for the security and stability of the country. On this occasion, the door of Baitullah was also opened for him.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir also held a meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Chief of the General Staff Lt. Gen. Fayyadh Al-Ruwaili during his ongoing Saudi Arabia visit.
During the meeting, Pakistan-Saudi relations in the defense and Military sectors were reviewed while various matters of mutual interest and the ongoing security situation in the region came under discussion.
Moreover, the Army chief also met Commander of the Royal Saudi Land Forces Lieutenant General Fahd Bin Abdullah Mohammed Al-Mutair in which they discussed matters of mutual interest.
Remember that this is the first official visit of COAS since he took charge as the Army chief.
