The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) declared Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain as the President of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q).
The Election Commission of Pakistan announces its verdict on a petition filed by Chaudhry Shujaat last year amid an ongoing Political tussle with his cousin Pervaiz Elahi over the party leadership. Keeping this in view PML-Q’s Central Working Committee decided to release Chaudhry Shujaat from the duties of party president.

Earlier last week on the 31st Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) General Council today removed Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain from the party presidency.
The decision was made during a consultative meeting of the party held at the Pakistan Muslim League House in Lahore. The Party meeting was attended by PML-Q leaders and lawmakers belonging to Punjab, Balochistan, Sindh, Balochistan, and Azad Kashmir.
However, Chaudhry Shujaat approached the ECP over the matter.
But today in a surprise move ECP in its verdict under the supervision of Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja declares Chaudhry Shujaat as President of PML-Q.
Remember that Last year Pervaiz Elahi along with party members decided to remove Shujaat and General Secretary Tariq Bashir Cheema from the party’s top position. However, Ch Shujaat filed an application with the ECP challenging the decision.
Now latest reports are that the Election Commission of Pakistan announces its verdict on a petition filed by Chaudhry Shujaat and declares him President of PML-Q.
