Sources have told that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the largest party in the opposition, has also asked all its members to reach Lahore.

Asif Ali Zardari, who is a key ally of the PML-N-led ruling coalition, is also likely to consult with the allies on chalking out a strategy for flexing political muscles against the ruling PTI-PML-Q alliance in the province and whip up votes for the polls.

“We will not be part of this country’s political system. We have decided to quit all assemblies,” the former premier said while addressing the party workers and supporters at Rawalpindi Jalsa.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan said that his party had decided not to go to Islamabad as he didn’t want any destruction or chaos. “I would announce the date of resignations after consulting chief ministers and the parliamentary party,” he announced. It is pertinent to mention here that the Imran Khan-led party is ruling the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province while they are also in power in Punjab through a coalition with Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q).

“They [government] cannot afford Islamabad march… they cannot stop millions from entering Islamabad. We could have created create Sri Lanka-like situation,” he said while addressing the party’s gathering in Rawalpindi on Saturday.
He added that the party has decided to quit all legislative assemblies in the country in a bid to force the incumbent rulers to announce early elections.
