Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announced to keep the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel unchanged for the next 15 days. The current prices for petrol are Rs224.80 per litre and Rs235.30 for High-Speed Diesel (HSD). However, he announced a reduction of Rs10 per litre at the prices of kerosene oil and Rs7 on light diesel.
Meanwhile, the Finance Minister also announced a 15-day extension in the filing of FBR income tax.
On 15th November 2022, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announced to keep the prices of petrol, diesel, and other petroleum products unchanged. Ishaq Dar had announced to maintain the petroleum products prices for the next 15 days.
Ishaq Dar said that the prices of petrol, diesel, light diesel, and kerosene oil will remain unchanged till November 30 as per the federal government’s decision and now in yesterday’s press conference Finance Minister said that there a decrease has been seen in oil prices at Global market, therefore keeping in that view the prices of Petroleum products remain unchanged.
The current prices for petrol are Rs224.80 per litre and Rs235.30 for Highs Speed Diesel (HSD). Earlier Finance Minister Ishaq Dar claimed that Pakistan becomes interest-free within five years as he urged the banking sector to move towards and promote Islamic banking.
Now reports are coming that Talks with the Russian government came to an end without any conclusion as Moscow refused to offer Pakistan a 30–40 percent discount on crude oil.
During the negotiations, A delegation comprising Dr. Musadik Malik, Minister of State (Petroleum Division), Capt (R) Muhammad Mahmood, Additional Secretary In-charge (Petroleum Division), and other senior government officials arrived in Moscow this week to get a deal done on the import of discounted fuel. However, Russia has pledged to take Pakistan’s request into consideration and to communicate its opinion through diplomatic channels later.
