Sindh Information and Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon announced new routes of the Women Pink Bus Service in Karachi.
While Taking to Twitter, the transport minister announced that the Sindh government has decided to launch two more routes of the Pink Bus Service in Karachi from 1st March 2023.

“We are going to start two new routes and enhance some buses in one existing route,” he added.
The new route No 2 will start from North Karachi to Indus Hospital in Korangi via Nagan Chowrangi, Johar Mour, COD, Drig Road, Shahrah e Faisal, Shah Faisal colony, Singer Chowrangi and Korangi No 5.
Another R10 for Pink Bus Service (for women only) will start from Numaish Chowrangi via M.A Jinnah Road, Zaibunissa Street, Metropol, Do Talwar, Teen Talwar, Mazar e Abdullah Shah Ghazi, Dolman Mall, and end at Sea view clock tower.
On 1st February 2023, the Sindh government launched the country’s ‘first-ever’ Pink Peoples Bus Service in Karachi that will be exclusively for women.
Pakistan’s First Electric Bus
Earlier this month Sindh Information and Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon launched Pakistan’s first electric bus service in Karachi.
While Talking to the media after inaugurating the bus service, Sharjeeel Memon said environment-friendly Peoples Electric Bus service will start from Tank Chowk Malir Cantt to Clock Tower Roundabout, Sea View Defence using Khayaban e Ittihad,” he said, adding that airport passengers can also avail this service.
“The fares for these buses have been set at Rs50,” he said, adding that electric buses have more than 30 seats including designated seats for differently-abled persons.
He said that the in first phases 10 eco-friendly electric vehicles will ply route one from Airport to Clock Tower. Information and Transport Minister Sharjeel Memon said that a solar system was also installed for the charging of the buses.
Each bus will complete a journey of 240 kilometers after one-time charging, he added.
Remember that In November last year, Transport Minister Sharjeel Memon announced that the transport department of the Sindh government will start a new bus service in Karachi.
