Imran said Shehbaz had tested the PTI so now the party would turn the tables on the Prime minister.
PTI Chairman said that in a party meeting on Sunday, we will carry out full planning for not only the trust vote but also âother plans to fully thrust them in a testing situation nowâ.
It is pertinent to mention that the MQM-P, a key ally of the ruling coalition PDM, has in recent days indicated that they will leave the federal government owing to what it says are unfulfilled promises.
MQM-P sources earlier said that the party had communicated with its leaders and it would announce its decision at a workersâ convention.
Remember that President Arif Alvi said that he will follow the Constitution if asked to take a âvote of confidenceâ from PM Shehbaz Sharif. In an interview on Private Media Channel President Arif Alvi said âBas Bohat Hogayaâ, the Constitution has clearly mentioned the way forward in such situations.
âThis is speculation that they (PTI) will ask [me to ask PM Shehbaz to take a confidence vote] and I will do it,â he said. âWhatever the Constitution says will be the way forward.â
He added that if the president thinks that the legislature does not have confidence in the government, then he can ask for a vote of confidence.
