The tournament prize money for the World Test Championship remains unchanged from the inaugural edition (2019-21), totaling $3.8 million. In the previous edition’s final held in Southampton in 2021, Kane Williamson’s New Zealand received $1.6 million as they secured an eight-wicket victory over India in a rain-affected six-day match.

All nine participating teams will receive a portion of the $3.8 million prize purse. South Africa, finishing in third place, will earn $450,000, while England, who made a late surge and finished in fourth place, will receive $350,000.

Sri Lanka, who were in contention for a spot in the final, secured fifth place and will be awarded $200,000. The remaining teams, namely New Zealand (6th), Pakistan (7th), West Indies (8th), and Bangladesh (9th), will each receive $100,000 as their respective rewards.

Remember that, World Test Championship final will be played between Indian and Australia at the Oval in London starting from 7th June. The winner team will lift the Grillz
