The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the prize money allocation for the 2021-23 World Test Championship, amounting to a total of $3.8 million to be distributed among the nine participating teams.
Australia and India will meet in the Test Championship final at The Oval in London from 7 June with the triumphant team set to take home more than just the WTC mace.

The winners of the ICC World Test Championship 2023 Final will take home a whopping prize of $1.6 million while the runners-up will get prize of $800,000.
The tournament prize money for the World Test Championship remains unchanged from the inaugural edition (2019-21), totaling $3.8 million. In the previous edition’s final held in Southampton in 2021, Kane Williamson’s New Zealand received $1.6 million as they secured an eight-wicket victory over India in a rain-affected six-day match.
All nine participating teams will receive a portion of the $3.8 million prize purse. South Africa, finishing in third place, will earn $450,000, while England, who made a late surge and finished in fourth place, will receive $350,000.
Sri Lanka, who were in contention for a spot in the final, secured fifth place and will be awarded $200,000. The remaining teams, namely New Zealand (6th), Pakistan (7th), West Indies (8th), and Bangladesh (9th), will each receive $100,000 as their respective rewards.
