Kissan Ittehad chairman Khalid Hussain Batth threatened the government to give a countrywide shutdown call if the government not going to fulfill the farmers’ demands.
While talking to the media in Islamabad today, Kissan Ittehad Chairman Khalid Hussain Batth expressed hope that the government will issue a notification after accepting the farmers’ demands.
He urged the government to issue a notification in order to fulfill the demands; otherwise, the farmers would shut down the whole country. He added that millions of farmers will head towards Islamabad on his call.
The Kissan Ittehad’s protest entered the fifth day in Islamabad, whereas, the farmers also gave a deadline to the government to fulfill their demands till Monday.

Remember that the police have been ordered to be on alert, if the farmers go towards D Chowk, action will be taken, the interior minister issued instructions to all the police officers.
The police and rangers posted in the blue area have also been alerted. DC Islamabad says that we do not want the police to lathi-charge or the situation to worsen. We want the law and order situation to be maintained. He said that the effort is to find a solution to the problem through talks.
The deadlock remains in the negotiations between Kissan Etihad and the government.
