Islamabad police issued an arrest warrant against PTI Chief Imran Khan over illegal remarks regarding Additional District & Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhary.
According to the media reports The warrant was issued by Islamabad’s Margalla police station on the order of Senior Civil Judge Rana Mujahid Rahim. The warrant is related to the case registered on 20th of the August 2022 for his remark regarding Additional District & Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhary in a public speech.
After the speech, a case was filed against Imran Khan on August 21. The warrant was issued after the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief failed to appear before the court to get bail in the case.
According to the FIR, the PTI chief attempted to mount pressure on the judiciary and the law enforcers through his speech. The PTI chief has been booked under charges as sections 188, 189, 504, and 506, including terrorism charges.
However, the terrorism charges were dropped by Islamabad HC, referring the case to the civil court from the anti-terrorism court.
To the development, Imran Khan has so far not reacted on Twitter.
