Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Asim Munir called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad. 

According to Sources, the development said the premier and the COAS discussed the ongoing country’s security situation and regarding the national security meeting plan which is going to be held on Friday.

PM Shehbaz also paid tribute to the Pakistan Army’s Soldiers and Officers who sacrificed their lives in recent terror incidents.

Earlier Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir chaired the 254th Corps Commanders Conference at General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi.

The Corps Commanders Conference was held under the chair of COAS General Syed Asim Munir and was attended by corps commanders and other members of the military’s top brass for two days from 27th to 28th December. The two-day 254th Corps Commanders’ Conference resolved to fight against terrorists without any distinction and eliminate the menace in line with the aspirations of the people of Pakistan.

A comprehensive review of professional and organizational matters of the Pakistan Army was undertaken, according to the press release of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
