The federal government has placed former premier and PTI chief Imran Khan’s name on the Exit Control List (ECL) in £190m NCA case.
Imran Khan’s name was placed on the ECL at the National Accountability Bureau Rawalpindi’s request after approval from the federal cabinet. Some credible sources revealed that NAB has also recommended placing Bushra Bibi, the former prime minister’s wife’s name on ECL in the same case for which a letter will be penned to the interior ministry.

The former prime minister, who was removed from office by a vote of no-confidence the previous year, is currently under a number of legal proceedings, including the infamous £190 million settlement case involving the transfer of millions of dollars from the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA), in which his wife Bushra Bibi is also a defendant.
Imran Khan was earlier this month taken into custody by the Rangers from the grounds of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) in connection with the same issue, which led to violent protests across the country.
It should be remembered that the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) had ordered the addition of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi’s names, along with more than 600 PTI leaders and former assembly members, to the no-fly list due to their alleged involvement in the incident on 9th May.
Al-Qadir Trust case
The Ex-Premier, along with his wife Bushra Bibi and other PTI leaders, are facing a NAB inquiry related to a settlement between the PTI government and a property tycoon, which reportedly caused a loss of 190 million pounds to the national exchequer.
As per the charges, the Imran Khan and others accused allegedly adjusted Rs50 billion — 190 million pounds at the time — sent by Britain’s National Crime Agency (NCA) to the government.
They are also accused of getting undue benefit in the form of over 458 kanals of land at Mouza Bakrala, Sohawa, to establish Al Qadir University.
