Pakistan National Cricket Team Captain Babar Azam admitted that it was he who gave Iftikhar Ahmed the nick name of “chachu”.
Babar Azam revealed that, “It was me who gave Iftikhar Ahmed nick name, but sometimes, I feel embarrassed that due to me, Iftikhar is now known as ‘Chacha’ but I am happy that People enjoy it”
It is to be pertinent that, Pakistani Strike Batsman Iftikhar Ahmad, engaged in funny banter and a nickname with a fan on social media with the ultimate goal of stopping him from calling him ‘Chachu’.
Earlier In a recent interview Striker batsman Iftikhar Ahmed warned his fans that , Don’t Call him Chacha. He said: “I’m a young boy, don’t call me Chacha. My fitness is such that I can play for 10 more years”
Iftikhar Ahmed says he has proved himself that he can hit bigger shots.
Remember that, Iftikhar Ahmed before the 2022 T20 World Cup claimed that “I have experience playing on Australian Pitches which will benefit me, hitting sixes on big Australian grounds is not a problem”.
After this Iftikhar Ahmed prove himself in T20 World Cup by hitting 4 consecutives huge sixes in Melbourne Cricket Ground against India, not only this but Iftikhar Ahmed also played a brilliant innings against south Africa in Sydney which helped Pakistan to win the match and to move into semifinals of T20 World Cup.
Not only that, but during the recent series with New Zealand, Iftikhar Ahmed played sensibly, especially in the last ODI where he remained unbeaten and scored 97 runs off 72 balls. Unfortunately, his efforts were not enough to help the team win the match against the Black Caps as Pakistan’s batting line-up collapsed from the other end, resulting in a 47-run loss for the national team.
