An intermediate student died of heat stroke amid extremely hot weather and loadshedding in the exam hall. The deceased 11th Grade student’s body – identified as Mehtab Merani – was shifted to the nearby Civil Hospital Khairpur.

The college administration said that the student felt suffocation after loadshedding and later he fell on the floor and went unconscious.

Earlier, the provincial minister for the education board announced to declare the examination centres loadshedding free citing the difficulties of the students, however, the power outages are not yet stopped in several areas across Sindh.
