Pakistan men’s team Chief Selector Mohammad Wasim has been removed from his role.
According to details, the decision came after Najam Sethi took charge of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) management committee.
Mohammad Wasim was named head of the selection committee in January 2021. He was under immense pressure after Pakistan got whitewashed in the home Test series against England.
Najam Sethi has dismissed all the committees formed in the tenure of the former PCB chief, Ramiz Raja.
The dismissed committees included the National Selection Committee, and Women Selection Committee.
Chief selector Muhammad Wasim was also informed about the termination of his position via an e-mail today. The women and junior selection committees would also be reconstituted.

Following the dissolution of the PCB constitution of 2019, the Chairman of the management committee of the sport’s governing body Najam Sethi announced that the “cricket regime headed by Ramiz Raja is no more.”
To revive the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) 2014 Constitution, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday constituted a management committee and named former PCB chief Najam Sethi as its chief.
