A meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) was delayed due to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s Turkiye visit to attend the inauguration ceremony of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara.
According to the details, the meeting which was to be held on Friday (today) was postponed. The meeting was to be attended by the leadership of all three Armed forces, federal ministers and committee members.

The new date for the NSC meeting is yet to be announced.
It is to be pertinent here that in last NSC meeting officials agreed to bring to justice the “culprits” involved in the recent attacks on Military and State installations on 9th May following the day Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan was arrested.
The country’s top security officials comprising civil and military leadership participate in the meeting. The services chiefs, relevant federal ministers, heads of the civil and military intelligence gathering agencies also attend the meeting.
The meeting was briefed that the ‘violence was perpetrated by extremist elements’ under a well-planned conspiracy. Videos and evidence of the incidents are present, and over 5,000 culprits responsible for the arson and violence have been arrested.
The National Security Committee also expressed complete solidarity with the Armed forces. The forum also lauded the efforts of Armed forces regarding intelligence-based operations.
Sources claimed that the meeting agreed to bring to justice the “spoilers” involved in the recent attacks on Military installations on 9th May.
