The price of broiler chicken meat in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad also got increased by nearly Rs700kg.
According to Poultry Farm officials, the Price hike is due to the closure of several poultry businesses due to a shortage of Chicken feed. In the country’s second most populous city Lahore, the chicken meat price is selling between Rs550-600 per kg.
According to Government officials, an investigation has been launched to ascertain the cause of the feed shortage.
