The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in the early hours of Thursday arrested Anchorperson and Journalist Imran Riaz Khan from Lahore Airport.
According to reports Imran Riaz Khan was taken into custody by the FIA Cybercrime Wing at the Lahore Airport when he was just to depart to travel to UAE.

Imran Riaz Khan said he was informed by Airport Authorities that his name was “blacklisted” and he can’t leave the country. The anchorperson said his luggage was seized and was asked to wait.
The FIA cybercrime wing shifted Imran Khan to Gulberg from Lahore airport. The sources said that Riaz will be presented in court today. Last year, the journalist was also taken into custody by the contingents of Rangers and police from Islamabad Toll Plaza.
Remember that Anchorperson was arrested on the same day PTI ally Sheikh Rashid Ahmed was taken into custody by the Islamabad Police.
Sheikh Rasheed Arrest
Former Federal Interior Minister and Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed was taken into custody by Punjab police in Rawalpindi in the early hours of Thursday.
His nephew and former MNA Rashid Shafiq confirmed reports of Sheikh Rasheed’s arrest by police.
His Nephew Rashid Shafiq said that a heavy contingent of Police along with black vigo reached the residence of AML chief Sheikh Rashid located in a private housing society of Rawalpindi and arrested him. He also alleged that police have not informed the family in which case Sheikh Rashid has been taken into custody.
According to the Police officials, a bottle of liquor and a weapon has been recovered from Sheikh Rashid’s possession. Police claimed that Sheikh Rasheed has been arrested in a state of intoxication.
After his arrest, Police Shifted Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed to Abpara Police Station Islamabad.
It is to be pertinent here that Sheikh Rasheed is booked under three sections — 120B (criminal conspiracy), 153A (promoting enmity between different groups), and 505 (statements conducing to public mischief).
