A meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will be held tomorrow (Monday) for sighting the crescent of Islamic month of Zil Hajj in Pakistan.
According to a Ministry of Religious Affairs spokesperson, Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, the chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, will chair the over the meeting in Karachi.

The statement further said the meetings of the zonal committees will be held at designated locations across the country.
Earlier Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) announced the dates for Islamic month of Zilhaj in Pakistan. PMD officials said Eid-ul-Azha will fall on 29th Thursday June, based on their forecast for the sighting of the Zill Hajj moon.
According to PMD, the birth of the Zilhaj moon is expected to occur on June 18 at 9:37pm with possibility of partial clouds in most parts of the country.
In the event of the Zilhaj moon being sighted on June 19, according to PMD, Eid-ul-Azha is likely to be observed on Thursday, June 29.
The meeting of the central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is scheduled on the 29th day of every Islamic month to ascertain the sighting of the moon, and the final announcement regarding moon sighting is made by the central committee.
People are expecting a long weekend for Eid-ul-Azha 2023 as there will be four holidays starting from June 29.
