Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf filed an application with the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad seeking permission to stage a sit-in Faizabad (Islamabad) on 26th November 2022.
PTI leader Wasiq Quyoom has filed the application with the DC Islamabad. According to details, the party plans to stage a peaceful sit-in at Faizabad after their long march, under Imran Khan’s leadership, reaches Islamabad.
According to the reports The application has been received by the DC Islamabad mentioned that The sit-in would be a continuation of the party’s Haqeeqi Azaadi long march. The party has urged the administration to ensure security and other formalities.
According to the latest reports and sources the PTI is also considering different options including giving a deadline to the government for acceptance of their demand and sit-in until the announcement of general elections.
In an important development, on 18th November 2022, the Islamabad High Court asked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to file a fresh NOC plea for a sit-in in the federal capital.
Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Aamer Farooq took up the petitions filed by local traders and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf against and in favor of a long march and possible sit-in in Islamabad.
Remember that already The Islamabad Capital Territory administration has issued a no-objection certificate (NOC) to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold a rally in Islamabad.
According to details, the Deputy commissioner (DC), Islamabad issued NOC to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf for holding a rally in the Federal Capital starting from the Islamabad expressway. The NOC stated that the PTI will follow the route fixed by the ICT administration. Any deviation from the rally route will ultimately lead to the cancellation of the NOC.
