Twitter has stopped working Globally in a mysterious outage affecting millions of users Globally.
According to details Twitter has been hit by a major bug that means users are unable to leave to other websites.
When attempting to log on to Twitter, users receive the following notice:
“{“errors”:[{“message”:”Your current API plan does not include access to this endpoint, please see https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/twitter-api for more information”,”code”:467}]}”
Users clicking on links were instead shown a long error message indicating that there is a problem with Twitter’s API, the system that is used to communicate with other services.
It means that links shared on the site cannot be followed at all. Tweetdeck, the company’s more specialized service for following tweets, also appeared to be broken as a result of the same problems. Users saw the app go entirely blank at the same time the links broke.
As Bug reported Globally Twitter officials issued the following statement: “Some parts of Twitter may not be working as expected right now.
“We made an internal change that had some unintended consequences.
“We’re working on this now and will share an update when it’s fixed.”
Billionaire and Twitter owner Elon Musk also tweeted: “This platform is so brittle (sigh). Will be fixed shortly.”
