The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meeting, headed by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad in Quetta on Monday evening in order to sight the Rabi-ul-Awwal moon.
Meetings of zonal committees were also held in all big cities of the country, but the central committee takes its decision on moon sightings based on evidence that the committee receives from people and zonal committees across the country.
Chairman Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad announced the moon for the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal was not sighted across the country and therefore, the new lunar month will commence on 28th Sep 2022 and 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal (Eid Milad-un-Nabi) will be fall on 9th October.
The Milad-un-Nabi that it is the Holy Month for Muslims. Muslims around the world celebrate the birth of the beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), known in Arabic as the Mawlid al-Nabawi holiday, on the 12th of Rabiul Awwal, the third month of the Islamic lunar calendar.
