Another Major wicket of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as Senior vice president Fawad Chaudhry has announced that he was resigning from the party position and parting ways with chairman Imran Khan.
“I am parting ways with Party Chairman Imran Khan and stepping down from party position,” he said in a tweet Wednesday following the mass departure of leaders from the party over the May 9 vandalism.

The PTI’s chief spokesperson referred to his earlier statement wherein he “unequivocally condemned” the May 9 violent protests triggered by the arrest of party chief Khan in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
“Therefore, I have resigned from party position and parting ways from Imran Khan,” Fawad Chaudhry announced in a tweet.
Remember that PTI senior leaders and members have parted their ways with the party following the 9th May violence, wherein military installations including General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi and Corps Commander House Lahore were attacked by violent PTI Protestor after the arrest of party chairman Imran Khan.
A day earlier Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Faces major blow as Former Human Rights Minister Shireen Mazari and Former Punjab Minister Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan Depart Party Following 9th May Violence.
Shireen Mazari, a close and strong aide of Imran Khan, announced a day earlier that she had decided to quit the party for her family’s sake.
Addressing a press conference in the federal capital, Shireen Mazari — the former federal minister condemned the 9th May violence and added that she was the only parent of her children after the death of her husband. “My children and parents are [now] my priority,” she remarked.
She further announces decision to retire from politics going forward.
9th May Violence
On 9th May, Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan arrested by NAB and taken into custody by Rangers from the premises of Islamabad High Court (IHC) in the Al-Qadir Trust Case.
After PTI Chief arrest Violent clashes broke out across Pakistan. The protests were held in remote and major cities in result Army installations and Corps Commander’s house in Lahore came under attack during a protest of PTI workers.
Following the attack on Institutions especially at Jinnah House, authorities have registered cases against senior PTI leaders and launches crack down against the rioters.
It was also reported that Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Ali Nasir Rizvi sustained severe injuries while clearing.
