Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday warm-welcomed and received President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan upon his arrival in Rahim Yar Khan.
The Prime Minister, during his day-long visit to Rahim Yar Khan, met with the UAE president at the Chandana Airport. Upon his arrival at the airport, the president was received by PM Shehbaz Sharif and a number of Ministers and Senior officials.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed ways and means to further strengthen bilateral relations in various fields.
During the meeting, the two sides discuss the historical UAE-Pakistan ties and opportunities for enhancing joint cooperation in a way that serves the mutual benefit of the two countries and their peoples across various domains, which falls within the framework of the two countries’ strategic partnership, state-run WAM reported.
The prime minister welcomed the visit of Sheikh Mohamed to Pakistan, stressing that it represented a strong drive towards developing the relations between the two friendly countries.
The two parties discussed various cooperation paths, especially in the fields of economy, trade, and development, which are in line with the two countries’ sustainability objectives.They also discussed several issues of common interest and exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif while having a meeting expressed his appreciation to the UAE for its continuous support to Pakistan in various conditions, especially in the development fields.
This is the second interaction between the two leaders, last year on 12 December 2023 Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reached United Arab Emirates (UAE) on a two-day official visit.
The Premier was received by UAE Economic Affairs minister, Abdullah Touq Al Mari, and officers of the Pakistani embassy at the airport. The Prime minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including key members of the federal cabinet.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to UAE at the invitation of the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It was the prime Minister’s third visit to the UAE after taking charge in the office.
During the Offical visit to UAE, the Prime minister meet the UAE President with a particular focus on advancing economic, trade, and investment ties between the two brotherly countries and creating increased opportunities for the Pakistani workforce in the UAE.
The two leaders exchanged views on a range of regional and global issues of mutual interest and also discuss the security issues that the region is facing.
The UAE is home to around 1.7 million Pakistanis who have been doing Jobs in different fields of UAE and playing a pivotal role in the success story of the UAE, for the last five decades, contributing to the progress, prosperity, and economic development of the two brotherly countries.
Remember that Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates enjoy close and fraternal ties based on common faith and traditions shared history and heritage; deep-rooted cultural affinities, geographic proximity, and identity of views on several regional and global issues.
