Pakistani pacer Wahab Riaz has been appointed as Punjab’s Caretaker Sports Minister in the recently-announced caretaker Government of the Province.
Today Oath administration ceremony was held at Governor House Lahore.

Governor Baligh Ur Rehman administered the oath to the newly-appointed caretaker cabinet members held at the Governor’s House in Lahore.
Out of the 11 cabinet members, eight ministers attended the oath-taking ceremony including Bilal Afzal, SM Tanveer, Dr. Javed Akram, Ibrahim Murad, Dr. Jamal Nasir, Mansoor Qadir, Syed Azfar Ali Nasir, and Amir Mir—took the oath, while three others Wahab Riaz, Tamkinat Karim and Naseem Sadiq — couldn’t attend the ceremony.
Regarding Wahab Riaz, He is currently representing Khulna Tigers in the ongoing edition of the BPL and will take the charge as the sports minister of the largest province after the BPL.
The left-arm pacer has represented the Pakistan cricket team in 156 international matches across formats and picked up 237 wickets.
It is to mention here that the 37-year-old pacer was also part of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 winning squad.
