Minister of State for Petroleum Dr. Musadik Malik has said the gas will be available to the citizens during mealtimes in winter.
While talking to the media Minister of State for Petroleum said that Government will try to get gas to the citizens with frequency.

He said that the gas pressure will decrease during the night hours. Centers of gas supply companies are being set up in tail-end areas of the country where a gas supply is very low, he added.
The officials of Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) will make the energy plan together with the industries.
According to reports, Prime Minister form A 7-member committee for the availability of uninterrupted gas to the industry. The committee will give its recommendations in 2 to four days, he said adding that after the report, this plan will be finalized.
The minister said that SSGC has been asked to plan so that gas can be provided during meal times. The recommendations will be decided in consultation with all stakeholders, he added.
Dr. Musadik Malik said that gas load-shedding is inevitable in the winter despite the arrangement of an additional 200 million MMCFD per day liquefied natural gas (LNG) in January-February 2023, compared to the same period last year.
Minister also informed that the country is also planning to import 20,000 tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for winter months.
Four government companies are active to facilitate the industries while the industrialists should also know when they will get gas for their production, he hinted.
