England defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets in the ICC T20 World Cup final at Australian Melbourne Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
England won the Toss and was Elected to Field first.
While Batting The Pakistani team manage to score only 137 runs by losing eight wickets, around 30 scores short of prediction. Green shirts made 29 runs at the loss of one wicket in the first five overs of Power Play. Batters earlier struggled to make a foundation for a big score against in-form England as they scored 100 in the 15th over.
Wicket Keeper Batter Mohammad Rizwan was first dismissed on 15 runs. Inside edges a fuller in-swinging delivery, Sam Curran draws the blood for England. Later skipper Babar Azam, and young blood Mohammad Haris take Green Shirts to 39/1 in power-play.
Mohammad Haris was then dismissed as Adil Rashid strikes with his maiden ball. Haris attempted to charge down the track but was taken by Ben Stokes at long-on. Skipper Babar Azam was then dismissed with 32 off 28 and middle order Shan Masood and Iftikhar attempted to gain momentum.
Later, Iftikhar Ahmed was out while Shan Masood made 32 runs off 28.
The mega event’s final game is expected to be a nail-biting contest as these two sides have got momentum in the middle of the tournament and looked to field their best teams in the final. In the Final Game, both sides’ players are more confident and their morals are also at their peak, and played very good cricket.
From England’s side, Ben Stokes scored an unbeaten 52 off 49 balls to guide England to a 5-wicket win over Pakistan in the final match of the T20 World Cup 2022.
