Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated with great religious zeal and fervor across the country today.
The day was marked with Eid prayer with sermons and large gatherings. The ulema and Molana in their sermons highlighted the significance and philosophy of Eid-ul-Fitr.

People dressed up in traditional dresses and offered Eid prayer in their nearby mosques. People embraced their families, relatives and neighbours and wished them a happy and prosperous Eid.
Special prayers were made for the prosperity and growth of the nation in mosques across the country.
In the Federal capital, the main Eid congregation was held at the Faisal Mosque where top government officials and envoys of Muslim countries offered Eid prayers.
President Dr. Arif Alvi offered his Eid prayer at Faisal Mosque in Islamabad and prayed for peace, progress and prosperity of the country. The President especially prayed for the salvation of the people of Indian illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir from the Indian suppression and atrocities.
People belonging to different walks of life including diplomats of various countries visited Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad today and exchanged E greetings with President Arif Alvi and First Lady Samina Alvi.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif offered Eid prayer in Lahore. Strict security measures are in place throughout the city to avoid any untoward incident.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his separate Eid message, said Eid-ul-Fitr provides an opportunity for the practical expression of the spirit of patience, contentment and consideration for others.
He urged the people to share the joy of Eid with all those who are oppressed by hardships due to on going economic conditions. The prime minister said the coalition government is making continuous efforts to lessen economic difficulties of the people.
He also requested the people to remember the flood victims on the occasion of Eid by helping them generously.
Premier Shehbaz Sharif also acknowledged the sacrifices of martyrs, who laid down their lives in fighting terrorism and offered heartfelt condolences to their families.
