As Ramadan began the Price of fruits along with Bananas Shoots to Rs. 500/Dozen in Pakistan. In the local fruit markets, the bananas are being sold at a high record price of Rs 450 to Rs 500 per dozen.
Some local fruit whole sellers have disclosed that the price hike and short supply are due to the destruction of the crop by floods in various areas of Sindh last year.

The inflation rate in Pakistan jumped to a 50-year high, or 31.5 percent, last month everything has become expensive.
The public complained that the traders and shopkeepers have started squeezing the faithful with artificial rates. The administration failed to keep a check on rising prices. They said the vendors didn’t display official price lists and charged self-imposed rates for almost all daily-use items.
