Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Youth Affairs Shaza Fatima Khawaja on Friday announced that the federal government will re-launch laptop scheme for the youth this year under the umbrella of Prime Minister Youth Program.
While Speaking to media, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Shaza Fatima said that under the scheme 100,000 laptops will be provided to the youth this year.

Expressing regret over the previous government’s decision to halt this scheme, she highlighted the significance of laptops provided through the Prime Minister Youth Program. These laptops have played a crucial role in enabling the youth to pursue their education and maintain employment opportunities amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Shaza Fatima further said that the government has also initiated National Innovation Award to promote startup culture among the youth.
Earlier back in January Higher Education Commission Chairman Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed announced that the education regulatory body would launch the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme in the next few days.
Talking to journalists, Mukhtar Ahmed announced that the HEC will also initiate a program for online courses for students in Pakistan’s universities with support from Microsoft and different global organizations.
Remember under PM laptop scheme government would distribute 100,000 laptops among top achiever youths across the country that will be purely on merit.
