The Punjab Police, under the direction of the Provincial Government, is planning to carry out a significant operation at Zaman Park in Lahore to apprehend suspected “terrorists” believed to be hiding in the residence of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
According to the police, all roads leading towards Zaman Park have been sealed and a heavy contingent of law enforcement deployed in the area. Punjab government had given a deadline of 24-hour to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hand over ‘terrorists’, who had taken refuge in former PM’s home. The government had given the PTI 2pm deadline which has now ended.

Credible Sources of Police said that the “Grand operation” may be launched after the deadline ends. The inspector general of Punjab police and the capital city police officer (CCPO) asked the police to remain “Standby” till further orders.
Earlier while addressing a press conference, Punjab caretaker information minister Amir Mir claimed that 30 to 40 terrorists, who had attacked Army installations including Jinnah House, were present in Zaman Park.
The Punjab minister said that the agencies were able to confirm the presence of the “terrorists” in Zaman Park through geo-fencing.
“The intelligence report that has come is very alarming,” said Amir Mir. “Handover the terrorists within 24 hours or the law will take its course.”
The minister claimed multiple people were in touch with Zaman Park during the attack on the Corps Commander House.
Remember that PTI leaders and workers are being arrested back-to-back after violent protests erupted on 9th May following the arrest of party chief in the Al-Qadir Trust Case.
The PTI chief was taken into custody in the Al-Qadir Trust case by Rangers from Islamabad High Court where the former premier had gone to seek bail in multiple FIRs registered against him. The former prime minister was taken in black Vigo and shifted to NAB office Rawalpindi by the law enforcement agency.
The PTI chairman was going for biometric at the IHC when he was taken into custody.

The three-member bench comprising Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Athar Minallah in the supervision of CJP Umar ata Bandial, while hearing the former prime minister’s plea against his arrest in the Al-Qadir Trust case, termed Imran Khan’s arrest by Rangers from inside courtroom “illegal” and ordered his immediate release.
The Top court also ordered the PTI chief to appear in Islamabad High Court tomorrow for his case hearing.
After which Islamabad High Court (IHC) barred authorities from arresting PTI Chairman Imran Khan in all cases, even those are undisclosed, registered across the country until Monday (May 15).
The court also granted protective bail to PTI chief in three terrorism cases registered against him in Lahore and stopped authorities from arresting him till May 17 in any case registered in Islamabad after May 9.
What is Al-Qadir Trust case
The Ex-Premier, along with his wife Bushra Bibi and other PTI leaders, are facing a NAB inquiry related to a settlement between the PTI government and a property tycoon, which reportedly caused a loss of 190 million pounds to the national exchequer.
As per the charges, the Imran Khan and others accused allegedly adjusted Rs50 billion — 190 million pounds at the time — sent by Britain’s National Crime Agency (NCA) to the government.
They are also accused of getting undue benefit in the form of over 458 kanals of land at Mouza Bakrala, Sohawa, to establish Al Qadir University.
