Local Food counter at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport sealed for serving food on paper plates made out of cardboard with condom branding on them.
A passenger eating a sandwich on one of these plates noticed the writing after which he found that it was an advertisement for a condom. The passenger shared a video of the paper plate and food counter on social media, which went viral.
As video goes viral over social media , the Border Health Services came into action and immediately sealed all food counters belonging to the company providing food items on condom-branded paper plates at Karachi Airport.
Dr. Murtaza Shah, Director of Border Health Services, stated that this action was taken due to a violation of hygiene by the Federal Minister of Health.
Sources report that food items were served on the same paper plates to both domestic and foreign passengers at Jinnah Terminal for several days.
The Civil Aviation Authority spokesperson confirmed that all counters in the domestic and international satellite area of the company using objectionable writing on paper plates at Jinnah International Airport have been sealed and a heavy fine imposed.
