Peshawar High Court approved the bail of Pashtun Tahfuez Movement and National Assembly Member Ali Wazir in a sedition case registered in the Charsadda district.
Peshawar High Court also stopped the provincial police from arresting him in other cases. The orders were issued by two benches after hearing separate petitions of Mr. Wazir, who has been behind bars since 16th December 2022.
Ali Wazir’s lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat and the Additional Advocate General appeared in the court and plea the court to grant bail to Ali Wazir on a surety bond of Rs 5 lacs.
Remember that Member of the National Assembly Ali Wazir was booked in Charsadda for hate speeches against state institutions. About nineteen more such FIRs have been registered against Ali Wazir in different police stations.
Now Peshawar Hogh Court approved his bail and also stops the Police from any further actions against him.
