Law enforcement agencies have tightened security across Islamabad for New Year’s Night.
According to details, the capital administration has tightened the security measures across Islamabad and imposed a ban on pillion riding from 6 pm on 31st December 2022 till 2 am on 1st January 2023.

Islamabad Police instructed all the zonal officers and nearby Police stations to remain in their respective areas and ensure strict security measures for New Year’s eve.
According to the reports, more than 3 thousand personnel of police and Rangers were deployed at different sensitive points including entry and exit points of the Federal Capital for New Year’s eve.
Security in the Federal Capital also Beefed up, Capital Administration put the city on high alert, banning public gatherings and processions, even as campaigns are ongoing for upcoming local elections. Police have stepped up patrols and established snap checkpoints to inspect vehicles across the city.
Meanwhile, the Sindh government took back a notification imposing a ban on pillion riding in Karachi ahead of the New Year’s Night Celebration.
According to the reports, The ban has been taken back on the directions of CM Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah. CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah said the law and order situation has improved in the metropolis and they cannot stop the masses from celebrating the new year.
There is no ban on visiting recreational spots in the city, the Sindh chief minister said.
