The Lahore High Court issues ordered to return the passport of PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz that had been surrendered for getting bail in a corruption reference in 2019.
A three-member bench of the Lahore High Court headed by Chief Justice, Muhammad Ameer Bhatti heard the plea. Maryam Nawaz’s counsel Amjad Pervez presented his arguments before the court.
Maryam Nawaz’s plea to return her passport is different from her earlier plea in which she had requested the court to allow her to visit his ailing father Nawaz Sharif in London. During the last hearing, the NAB told the court that it no longer needed Maryam Nawaz’s more investigation clearing the way for her passport to be returned.
