Supplies from neighboring countries Afghanistan and Iran, prices of tomatoes and onion in the city’s Sunday bazaars saw a decrease compared to last week’s rates.

Even though the prices are lower than the previous week, they are still high for the inflation-hit population, as tomatoes were sold at Rs180 per kilogram (kg) and onions for Rs440 per 5kg this Sunday compared to last week’s rate of Rs230 and Rs620, respectively.

Similarly, the prices of other vegetables such as zucchini, okra, and aubergine dropped as well while those of other vegetables remained stable compared to last week.

Remember the pieces of Vegetables & fruits gone high due to heavy floods in Balochistan, KPK & Sindh. Due to Floods, the supply got stopped which aimed to raise the prices
