“Why are parents/teachers/students wanting more winter holidays? We used to go to school in the same weather and never complained. What is wrong with this generation – no one wants to do anything! Especially study,” the minister wrote in a tweet.

He made a clear announcement for teachers, students, and parents that there is no more extension in winter vacations for one week. He is clear that all schools and colleges in Punjab will re-open from 9th January 2023.

The winter vacations for schools are likely to be extended for one more week from 9th to 15th January on the appeal of the parents over cold weather. Remember that the provincial Government of Punjab has already extended winter vacations for a week on the orders of the Lahore High Court due to smog.
