India Beat Bangladesh by 5 runs through DLS in a Super 12 round of the T20 World Cup

Chasing 185 runs to win, Bangladesh got off to an excellent start as Litton Das smacked a 21-ball 50. Najmul Hossain Shanto anchored on the other end as these two added 68 runs for the first wicket.

When rain interrupted, Bangladesh was 66/0 in just 7 overs, requiring 119 runs more to win in 13 overs. Moreover, Bangladesh is 17 runs ahead as per DLS.  After a heart-stopping knock by Litton Das, Indian bowlers made an excellent comeback to halt Bangladesh at 145/6, to win the match by 5 runs (DLS Method).

But after 30 minutes game stopped again the match was resumed and just reduced to 16 overs match according to DLS. Bangladesh was cruising in the run chase at one stage, but after the rain interrupted and the game started, Indian bowlers wreaked havoc on Bangla batters. 

However, on the 2nd delivery after the game restarted, Litton Das was run out courtesy of a brilliant direct hit by KL Rahul from mid-field.

After Litton (60 runs off 27 balls, 4×7, 6×3) was dismissed, Bangladesh lost their way as the batters were dismissed in every other over or two. Shanto (21) was dismissed in the 10th over while Afif (3) was dismissed in the 12th over. Shakib Al Hasan was also dismissed in the same over by Arshdeep Singh. 

In the next over, Hardik Pandya dismissed Yasir Ali (1) and Mosaddek Hossain (6) as Bangladesh lost their 6th wicket in space of 6 overs after the game restarted. For India, Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya grabbed 2 wickets each while Mohammad Shami managed 1 wicket. 

From the Indian batting side In the first innings, Virat Kohli maintained his fabulous form as India posted 184/6 against Bangladesh in the Super 12 match of the T20 World Cup 2022. If Bangladesh manages to chase this total down, they will move to the top of Group 2 in the points table.

After opener Rohit Sharma (2) was dismissed cheaply in the 4th over, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli held the crease as these two added 67 runs off just 37 balls for the 2nd wicket. KL Rahul finally showed form as he smacked 50 runs off 32 balls with 3 fours & 4 sixes. 

Indian Batter Suryakumar played a quick-fire knock of 30 runs off 16 balls (4×4) before he was cleaned up by Shakib Al Hasan in the 14th over. Virat Kohli finished the innings fabulously as he stayed on till the end and scored 64* runs off 44 balls laced with 8 fours & a six. 

For Bangladesh, Hasan Mahmud was the top wicket-taker with 3 wickets to his name but went for 47 runs in 4 overs. Shakib Al Hasan also grabbed 2 wickets. 

Rememebr that, Bangladesh won the Toss and choose to field first. While Batting Indian Team Score 181 runs in 2nd innings Bangladesh’s opening pair played a very great inning that was interrupted due to rain after rain the match was reduced to 16 overs and Bangladesh needed 85 runs in 9 overs at the last due to great Bowling from Indian side Bangladesh lost by 5 runs through DLS Method. Now India Ranked first in the Points Table and South Africa at 2nd.

After Winning Match against Bangladesh India made their chances more bright to qualify for the Semi-Finals.
